Prof. Laurent Bègue
Professor of Social Psychology, Université Grenoble Alpes, France
Laurent Bègue is a social psychologist whose research focuses on human aggression, violence, addiction, and the psychological and social determinants of behavior. His work has extensively explored moral judgment, delinquency, and beliefs about justice. A former senior member of the Institut Universitaire de France, he was appointed Chevalier of the French Ordre national du Mérite in 2014. His research has received several distinctions, including the 2024 Prix Tronc-Laborie for his work on alcohol and violence and the 2024 Prix Émile Girardeau, awarded by the Académie des sciences morales et politiques.
Prof. Louis Bousquet

Louis Bousquet is a scholar of French and Francophone literature whose research focuses on modern and contemporary literature, the literature of the French-speaking Pacific, and the relationship between literature, culture, and cinema. His work has explored writers such as Michel Houellebecq as well as broader questions of love and disenchantment in modern French literature. He is also Editor of Creative Works for The French Review.
Dr. Valéry Giroux
Assistant Director, Centre for Research in Ethics, Université de Montréal, Canada
Valéry Giroux is a philosopher and legal scholar specializing in animal ethics, animal rights, and antispeciesism. She is Assistant Director of the Centre for Research in Ethics at the Université de Montréal and a Fellow of the Oxford Centre for Animal Ethics. Her work explores the moral and legal status of nonhuman animals and, in particular, the extension of fundamental rights to all sentient beings. She is the author of L’Antispécisme (Paris: Puf, 2020 ) and Contre l’exploitation animale (Lausanne: L’Âge d’homme, 2017), and co-author of Le Véganisme with Renan Larue (Paris: Puf, 2017).

Didier Maleuvre is a scholar of intellectual history, literature, philosophy, religion, and the arts. His work explores the development of Western ideas from antiquity to the present, with particular attention to aesthetics, modernity, science, and the human search for transcendence. He is the author of several books, including The Horizon: A History of Our Infinite Longing, The Art of Civilization, and The Legends of the Modern.
Prof. William O’Donohue

William O’Donohue is a psychologist and philosopher whose work spans clinical psychology, professional ethics, and the philosophy of psychology and science. Trained in both psychology and philosophy, he is Professor of Psychology at the University of Nevada, Reno. He has published extensively on evidence-based practice, ethics, and the philosophical foundations of psychology, with more than 90 books and 300 scholarly articles and book chapters to his name.
